Ingredients
- 1.5 kg beef chuck or similar
- Flour
- 1 large onion
- 4 cloves garlic
- 2 tbsp tomato paste
- 4 tbsp whiskey
- 1 tbsp worcestershire
- 1L beef stock
- 300g mushroom
- 1 tbsp corn starch slurry
- 1/2 cup cream
Directions
- Cut beef into large chunks and season it with salt and pepper then lightly coat with flour.
- Fry beef on high to quickly brown but not cook all the way through, reserve in slow cooker.
- Saute ontions and mushrooms and add garlic when almost done sauteing, add to the slow cooker.
- Deglaze pan with beef stock and add it to slow cooker.
- Add whiskey and worcestershire to slow cooker.
- When meat is almost cooked to desired tenderness add the cream.
- If desired add corn starch slurry now too.
